Art. 2
The Prize is divided into six sections split into two groups considered in alternating years:
GROUP 1
- Mountains: Culture and Civilisation
- Exploration – Travel
- Window on the Triveneto region: Territorial and Environmental Culture in the Veneto Universe
GROUP 2
- Mountaineering: climbing, historic events, biographies and guide books
- Ecology and Landscape
- Traditional Arts and Crafts
Art. 3
The Prize is reserved for works written in Italian or translated into Italian and for the 2021 edition includes exclusively the three sections in Group 1:
- Mountains: Culture and Civilisation
- Exploration – Travel
- Window on the Triveneto region: Territorial and Environmental Culture in the Veneto Universe
Art. 4
The works shall be published for the first time and therefore cannot be remakes or new editions, even with a different title.
Art. 5
The panel of judges examines works submitted by publishers or authors, published in the period laid down by the Regulations each year (1 January 2019 – 30 April 2021).
Art. 8
Works that were submitted to previous editions of the Prize will not be taken into consideration.
Art. 9
The panel of judges assigns the prize of € 2,000 to one book in each of the three sections.
The jury may also make special mentions of books submitted and, although not chosen for a prize, considered worthy of special attention.
There is a further prize of € 3,000, denominated “La Voce dei Lettori”, which is assigned to the book chosen from the three winners by a panel of 40 readers, whose votes are counted ‘live’ during the award ceremony.
The Prizes will be awarded during the ceremony to be held at Parco Gambrinus, San Polo di Piave on Saturday 20 November 2021 at 4.30 p.m.
